I often use my 18 min per mile runs for what I call lifestyle running. Like walk-jogging a dog and also jogging to the grocery store & back for a few groceries. I have to slow the pace down though after checking out so people don’t think I’m shop lifting! I jog back home with my groceries shifting arm to arm.

This is going to be my first RunBet I lose:( I’m a dog walker and my legs are so sore right now from dog walking that I can barely move. I need to rest them so I can work tomorrow. Good luck & congratulations to everyone who completes this challenge!!

Done! I can’t believe it!!! Had no intentions of doing this but it kicked my butt into gear and now to continue to train for the Pittsburgh 1/2!!

Done ✅ Now it’s time to give the shins and calves a day or two to relax. I only took 3 rest days, so I’m feeling it for sure. I have my first 5k race in nearly 8 years coming the first weekend in April. It’s the Trail Blazer in case anyone in the Waukesha/Milwaukee area is interested.

Whew! Nothing like a blizzard and intermittent power outages to incentivize you to do two miles at an 11 minute pace. LOL! It’s been a minute since I’ve run one mile at that pace, none the less two miles.

Ugh I was down to the wire on this and somehow my run with Runkeeper didn’t register yesterday. Not sure what will happen as I am out of days.

This is a new format... when is the last day we can run? Is it March 17? I have four runs left and I am trying to see if I need to run today , weds, Thursday Friday or if I can take a day off and run Saturday

The reason I chose this RunBet was to train to improve my speed for a 12-minute run in a fitness test. The test was today and I improved my performance by almost 15% over last time. I doubt I would have done so well without the structure of this bet to get me on the treadmill frequently. Thanks, y’all!

I am very excited! I accidentally signed up for this bet. Didn’t mean to hit join. I signed up 2 days after it started so I was already behind. I haven’t ran in a while!!! Started off slow but got the 1/2 mile in at first. Now after 11 runs I now longer hold on to the treadmill handles and I am going at a faster pace as well as putting in more miles. I am so glad I made this mistake, because now it is not!
