Welcome everyone!! My name is Michael and I will be your runbet host! I am excited to get this game started. As many of you know I like to do weekly challenges. This week’s challenge is an easy one: introduce yourself and give us a fun fact. Reply on this thread and at the end of the week I will choose a random winner. Happy running!

Unfortunately I need to leave this week. Went traveling and had no time to get the workouts I needed. Good luck everyone and happy holidays

Ran a 10k Santa Stroll this morning with my running buddies. 30°, sunny and wind free. It was a welcome break from the freezing temps and high wind we were having earlier this week! It was a fun run. 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄😁

Hi, I’m Yvette from New Mexico. I don’t know if it counts as a fun fact, but this is my fourth RunBet in a row, helping me keep my running habits through the winter months. My TomTom device estimates VO2 max, and today I topped out (by their scale) at 40 - the estimated average fitness level of a 20 year old woman. I’m 55. I love what running does for me!

Weird question. I have been tracking my runs with my Fitbit which forwards the runs to Runkeeper which forwards the details to Runbet (a bit convoluted I know but has worked in the past). This morning I went on a run that uses some less-accessible trails, because of this I think I lost GPS signal. My Fitbit still measured my distance and time but was unable to generate a map of where I actually ran. I figured no big deal, my tracker captured the other info (I did complete my run). But now when it forwards to runkeeper, runkeeper says the details were entered manually and runbet won’t recognize the run. What do you think I should do? I really don’t want to do another run as my knees can’t handle it. I’ve got the other data (including heart rate) to prove I did actually run.

Post run with Maverick. He's my accountability buddy! What or who holds you accountable on staying in track?
